u4gm What FOH Paladin Gets Right About High Runes

The thing nobody tells you about running a Fist of the Heavens Paladin late in a D2R ladder is how quiet the grind gets. Not easy. Quiet. Your hands know the route before your brain catches up: teleport in, drop Conviction, fire off FOH, let Redemption clean the mess, scan the floor. That's why I treat diablo 2 resurrected trading as something separate from the actual farming mindset, because once you're in the run, the only thing that matters is clean movement and not getting lazy.



Chaos Works Because It Has Rhythm
Chaos Sanctuary is still the place I trust most on an FOH Paladin. The layout makes sense. The seals give you little checkpoints, and the monster types line up well with Holy Bolt damage. You're not playing some sweaty melee build that has to stand in every bad pack and pray. You can work from range, reposition, and keep the pace steady. That said, Chaos can numb you after a while. Once you stop reading curses or start teleporting straight into Lord De Seis like you've got a death wish, the run has already gone bad.



The Pit Slows You Down In A Good Way
I like rotating into The Pit when Chaos starts turning my brain to soup. It's not always faster, and sometimes the density feels awful. You'll get those weird stretches where you wonder why you didn't just make another Chaos game. But that slower pace has a use. You start checking corners again. You stop assuming every pack is harmless. You remember to pick up small charms, jewels, bases, and the odd rare that might actually be worth a look. A good farming route isn't just about kills per minute. It's about staying sharp enough to notice value.



Travincal Is Tempting But Not Always Smart
Travincal has a reputation for a reason. Everyone has seen those screenshots where someone pulls a Jah or Ber from the Council and acts like it happens every lunch break. For an FOH Paladin, though, Trav can feel awkward unless your setup is already strong. Bad spawns, Hydras, Conviction, Fanaticism, and messy positioning can turn a quick run into a repair bill. If you're forcing it because other players say it's the best, you're probably wasting energy. Farm what your build clears smoothly, not what looks good in someone else's lucky post.



Build For Comfort Before Damage
Gear choices matter, but not in the way newer players sometimes think. More damage looks nice on paper, sure, but paper doesn't teleport through a cursed elite pack. I'd rather have solid faster cast rate, capped resistances, decent block or life, and enough mana comfort to stop drinking potions every few seconds. Smooth teleporting saves runs. Redemption timing saves runs. Knowing when to back up saves runs. A dead Paladin clears nothing, and a frustrated player clears even less.



Keep The Grind Safe And Sustainable
High rune farming will mess with your expectations if you let it. You can play well for three hours and still walk away with junk runes and a couple of flawed gems. That's normal. If you do look outside the game and compare item or currency services like U4GM, pay attention to account safety, delivery details, and whether the whole thing actually feels worth the risk to you. Don't let a dry streak push you into careless decisions. Take breaks, rotate zones, stash what matters, and stop the session when you feel yourself rushing.
