I’ve had several different jobs recently and I’m honestly tired of constantly looking for another one. I’d really like to find something more predictable. What kinds of work have given you a steady income over time?

Last weekend I helped my sister assemble a bookshelf from a Swedish furniture store. We fought about the instructions for hours. Afterward, I found a forum thread where people were sharing their own assembly horror stories. Someone posted a link to a "furniture assembly hack" that was supposed to make it easier. Clicked it, and it landed on Slots Empire Casino. A guy was sitting on a pile of loose boards, pretending to read instructions but actually just holding random pieces up to his face. The chat was full of people describing their worst assembly moments, and he'd take off a piece of his tool belt, then his hat, then his glasses, every time someone said "I had extra screws." I don't think he assembled a single thing, but his deadpan delivery made me feel better about the bookshelf.
