Version 4.1.8 finale disponible:
http://www.soundminer.com/current/SMv4Pro_4.1.8.zip

Key improvements are:
-  Sonomic connectivity - Soundminer is pleased to announce that v.
4.1.8 has the ability to search, preview, and download directly from
Sonomic, the world's largest library of downloadable sound effects
and samples.  Sonomic offers over 250,000 audio files, with more
added every week, including the complete catalogs of Sound Ideas, The
BBC Sound Effects Library, Valentino, Zero G, Time+Space, Nightingale
Voicebox, Loopmasters, Noise Generator, and many other top libraries,
all in 16-bit 48KHz BWAV format. The Sonomic database is easily
enabled in your Soundminer preferences and appears just like any
other database.
-  improved support for apostrophe in local database (Our French
customers will be happy to hear this!).  Optional 'search_index' in
the advanced search page - this allows our foreign customers to
search non-english words which cannot be searched in the main find
box.
-  improvement recognizing more types of mp3 files.
-  improved Leopard support - improved rewire support.
-  Undo/Redo for individual ADMIN functions in v4pro, addition of
remove characters from the start.
-  improved copy/paste which allows multiple fields to be pasted into
Soundminer.
-  Spot list - option to check for already tagged items.
-  Server users can have their spots now stored on the server as a
backup.
-  auto-update is now turned on so from this version onward we plan
to be able to auto-notify users of new versions.

Bye.

L'apostrophe marche!
Et il y a un support de Twisted Wave (Send to)!
Correction du bogue avec l'Altiverb (Mix7).

Voilà le détail:
[FIX] - Boolean search for ' in local databases
[IMP] - Metabrowser speed(require's rebuild click)
[FIX] - Crash when scanning certain mp3 files
[IMP] - Search indexes on Filenames with a _ as a "divider"
[IMP] - When scanning plugins - prints to console current plugin
[FIX] - Exception -1301 when transferring split files to mono twice.
[FIX] - Master bypass and individual toggle of plugins
[FIX] - Crash when scrolling through edit menu/play history
[IMP] - Ability to remove characters from beginning or end of a field in admin window
[IMP] - Undo/Redo to individual admin functions. (Before you have undo/redo after saving metadata, but if you uppercased a field and then removed chars, you couldn't undo that remove chars function.) Allows up to 10 undo's.
[IMP] - and or not keywords allowed in search field
[IMP] - Disappearing results after modifying metadata. ie.. you searched for door and then removed door in the metadata, that record would disappear from view. Not any more!
[FIX] - Altiverb support(thanks AudioEase)
[FIX] - Exception when transferring from toggle spotting folder.(NSArray responding to isEqualToString:)
[IMP] - Advanced Search now works with Lock
[FIX] - Checkmarks / Play history affecting database when playing with spotting panel swapped into browser.
[FIX] - Exceptions with databases starting with numeric characters
[IMP] - Cached overviews saved/restored
[IMP] - Changes in Copy / Paste. Paste now works as paste in field, click first in the cell you want. You can now copy multiple tab-delim items with column headers and paste.
[CHG] - pref file in support folder is only loaded when NOT in home/library/application support folder. This file is always valid with the most recent prefs, but should help tech support issues as only the plist has to be deleted under most circumstances
[IMP] - MiniMiner remembers last database
[FIX] - Daemon discovery works again
[IMP] - Write ID3 tags to wave files(in case iTunes ever supports it)
[IMP] - ID3 Lyric support in scanner
[CHG] - Clicking on column toggles sort order to asc/desc/clear
[IMP] - main window and searchfield has focus when first launched
[IMP] - Ability to abort when row error occurs in remerge metadata
[IMP] - Remerge metadata speed
[IMP] - Speed when collecting metadata
[IMP] - Remerge text allows filename renaming
[IMP] - Twisted Wave audio editor added as a recognized send to application.
[NEW] - Tagging when connected via Soundminer soundminer creates redundant spotting panel lists.
[NEW] - Relinking via toggled spotting panel now works. (Toggle a spotting folder into the browser view, and relink), when you toggle back, the spots will be relinked
[IMP] - Illegal character warning more verbose.
[NEW] - Supernotes move to notes when moved swapped to database view (for embedding reasons)
[FIX] - Skipping through sound with Loop on
[IMP] - Spot as region state remembered if ProTools/Nuendo running.
[FIX] - Some oddities if the spot into daw toolbar item wasn't visible
[IMP](Server) - Spots saved onto server MySQL table
[FIX] - Rewire streaming into 96kHz sessions
[CHG] - Rewire Connection Dialog box (Look changed and option to not show again)
[CHG] - When using rewire checks sample rate matches the DAW application(with do not show again option)
[IMP] - Sound Device clicks when on autoplay and scrolling fast(can still happen but is minimized now)
[IMP] - Logging changes to new code...harvest MySQL variables

(build 16)
[IMP] - Automatic installation/updating of ReWire components
(build 15)
[IMP] - option clicking the checkmark column clears checkmarks
[IMP] - Uncheck checkmark warning
[FIX] - Crash when transferring checkmark(introduced in build 12)
[IMP] - UTF8 for MySQL Waveform tables
[UPT] - Updated Rewire Bundle. (just a fresh build of build 14's...)
[IMP] - Warning about max_allowed_packet being too small(default) on MySQL installations
(build 14)
[IMP] - ReWire / Leopard / Tiger compatibility...
(build 13)
[IMP] - Music and FX database has keywords in the fulltext index by default(for new databases)
[IMP] - Scanner when parsing the filename. If the Keyword field is blank, it breaks words apart and eliminates punctuation...
[IMP] - Find and Replace only gathers/affects metadata for the column you last clicked in. (much faster)
[FIX] - More stinky Leopard and rewire problems - requires new rewire bundle
(build 12)
[FIX] - Check for update
(build 11)
[FIX] - Crash when quitting in Leopard after connecting to MySQL.
[FIX] - Leopard ReWire auditioning where the channel layout gets all confused. The Left Channel went to the Centre rewire stream and Right Channel went to the Left rewire stream.
[FIX] - Sharing folder on server, no longer creates duplicate folders.
[IMP] - Share folder dialog box improvements(option to not show again)
(build 10)
[IMP] ProTools match dialog box shows the Session name
[IMP] HASP alert changes
[IMP] Embed metadata progress
[IMP] Progress bar background color
[IMP] ProTools timeout when sending Spot API(doesn't wait for timeout which used to be 1 minute)
[FIX] Spotting panel not displaying all items/headers due to rearranging interface a little
(build 9)
[IMP] - autosave spot timer doesn't save to MySQL table(thread safety)
[IMP] - Info window label width
(build 8)
[FIX***] - Fixed playback of files that had a InPoint OutPoint of ZERO in the database. Would click and pop and do all types of nasty things.
[IMP] - New progress bar on build overview
(build 7)
[IMP] - When referencing original and the source file is invalid for whatever reason, pop up a dialog box telling the user why, and prompting the user what to do.
[FIX] - When referencing original and using a database imported from v3, and the files didn't have a region in/region out. Spotting files would result in a sliver.
(build 6)
[FIX] - Transfer Path Icon got lost
[IMP] - Always logs what it is spotting into ProTools to the console(because it always gives us so much grief)
[IMP] - Waveform alignment(stops it from going a little fuzzy)
(build 5)
[IMP] - When referencing original doesn't listen to xfer flag in spotting panel
[IMP] - Skips over NetShell.sl which crashed SM in the VST plugins
(build 4)
[FIX] - Reverted back to 4.1.5 Rewire code
(build 3)
[FIX] - Spot onto timeline not working. (Broken during re-factoring transfers)
(build 2)
[FIX] - Rewire Crashes when swapping applications.
(build 1)
[IMP] - Hasp dialog boxes(wrong app launched, no license manager, etc)

(build 26)
[IMP] - Metabrowser doesn't rebuild everytime
[IMP] - When tagging(command T or t) can optionally check selected items in spotting panel to make sure it hasn't been tagged before. Preference to toggle on / off is in the spotting panel drop down menu. Brings up warning dialog when the file has been previously tagged(with optional do not show again)
More Details: If a file is selected in the spotting panel it checks every one of it's siblings(meaning everything else in that folder), if a folder is selected it checks everything in that folder(including nested folders). Supports multiple selections[If you select multiple items and Command T, it'll check that the file isn't in those folders as it tags]
[FIX] - Server user prefs name.

Bye.

La recherche dans Sonomic est assez impressionante !
Très rapide, et surtout très utile quand on cherche un son particulier qu'on a pas. C'est Sounddogs qui va faire la gueule.....
Pas de vacances pour les vrais gars !
